Sherbourne House & ADU
Renovation & Addition of a 1920’s Craftsman Home
Culver City, CA
3 Bed, 2 Bath Main House - 1,800sf
Studio ADU with separate entrance - 500sf
We loved bringing new life to this craftsman in Culver City’s McManus neighborhood. Starting with brand-new framing and an earthquake-strapped foundation, we rebuilt it to today’s codes while preserving its charm. The vaulted shiplap ceilings, skylights, and open floor plan made the home feel bright, warm, and modern from the start. One of our favorite features is the chef’s kitchen with Thermador appliances, custom cabinetry, and Lapitec stone countertops—it’s a true centerpiece for the home. The bonus room with vaulted ceilings, wet bar cabinetry, and a seamless connection to the backyard was another space we knew would be perfect for entertaining. Outside, we designed a low-maintenance, drought-tolerant landscape and added a long paver driveway with covered parking, which really elevate the curb appeal. What makes this property unique is the detached ADU—fully permitted, thoughtfully designed, and ideal for rental income, extended family, or flexible living.
